Recording "Elegies" at Sonic Pump Studios, Helsinki, Finland (18.01.2005 - 01.03.2005)
Day 1 - 18.01.2005
Hello everybody! It's the day we all have been waiting for! Time to record an new album. The feelings were high untill we entered the apartment, where we are supposed to live next few weeks. The place is awful! It's so messy and smells like shit. It has been built in 1936 and probably cleaned only once at the same year. I think we have to have a big cleaning day there. This would be wery interesting!
Right now we are at the studio and starting to check drum sounds. And maybe record song or two with drums today.

Day 2 - 19.01.2005
Yesterday went pretty quickly, we checked the drum sounds and recorded one song few times. It was just testing... Today it's time to start recording drums for real. At the noon we cleaned our apartment because it was so hard to even sleep there because of the shit everywhere.

Day 4 - 21.01.2005
Yesterday went pretty quickly. We recorded rest of the drums and started to look foor a good guitar sound. Today we are supposed to start recording guitars. Hopefully we can have all the rhythm guitars on tape today. If so I would prize myself with few beers.

Day 5 - 22.01.2005
We started early this morning by finishing my rhythm guitars. Now they all are on tape. Already it sounds very good with only drums and one guitar. Vehniäinen arrived studio today for his bass tracks. We try to record all bass lines today. I have a free day tomorrow... Yeah!

Day 7 - 24.01.2005
Howdy! Antony is just now standing in the vocal booth and warming up his voice. It's first day for the singing. Yesterday was checking and fixing bass lines and after that Noronen's rhythm guitars. This morning we listened all the rhythm guitars and fixed mistakes & tuning problems. Rest of this day is reserved for vocals.

Day 8 - 25.01.2005
Yesterday went as planned. Toni recorded his vocals rest of the day. We finished yesterday at 7pm. After that we had to spent tooooo many hours at our apartment. I'm started to get relly pissed of it, it's mess and stink. We are too lazy to clean there... Luckily only three nights left there. Today we will have one quest artsist here. I will tell more on that later...! ;)

Day 9 - 26.01.2005
The pressure is giving up little because we have on tape almost all guitars ecxept solos and acoustic. We had pretty long day at the studio yesterday, 13 hours of hard work. Illu from Private Line visited us and played amazing solo on one song. It was a pleasure to hear his playing, very metal man! Thanx to him!

Day X - 29.01.2005
Uuyeah! Time to relax for a while. We have now two weeks free until we continue our recordings. So far we have almost all instruments on tape and vocals for 4 songs. Yeasterday we had gig at Finnish Metal Expo. It was wery weird situtation because we didn't have no time at all to practice for the gig. Eventually the gig went pretty well and it was cool to play live for a while! Now I need sauna!

Day 11 - 14.02.2005
Back in the studio. This time Antony and I are the only ones here. Start to work again.

Day 12 - 15.02.2005
I played all my clean guitar parts yesterday. We found very good sound for it after little testing time... Antony sang parts for one song which we continue today. This time we are living in a real hotel. Now I don't need to complain about living conditions anymore :) Right now our recording maniac Nino is starting to record Antony's vocals.

Day 13 - 16.02.2005
Hell yeah! I just finished acoustic guitars. That means that I have played all my parts on tape! Uujeh! Antony has got three songs left. Then we have one more guest artist here to play cellos on one song. That will happen on friday. More on that later...Sauna tonight!!!

Day 19 - 22.02.2005
It's been a while since last time. So far happened: On friday Max Lilja visited here and recorded cellos for one song. Saturday we started mixing. Now we have two songs ready. It sounds awesome! Heavy Metal!

The Last Day 666 - 27.02.2005
Vika päivä... Pien krapula eilisestä röpöttelystä, mut hyvä fiilis. Levy on melkein valmis, vika biisi vaan miksaamatta, sellanen espanjalainen suruvirsi missä vanhat mummot parkuu! levy kyl kuulostaa hyvälle, vaikka biisejä on kuunneltu ihan vitun monta kertaa läpitte et perseestä tulee ulos. Tarkempaa infoo levystä tulee myöhemmin... Levyn nimi on joka tapauksessa " MANSE MANSE " Kiitos ja kumarrus.

Last report from making of this album. So, Saturday was the last mixing day. Album is now almost ready, only a few minor changes must be done to the mix. I forgot to mention one thing that Tarot -band guitarrist Zakari Hietala did also one solo to our album...! Yeah! Release date is not yet confirmed, but I'll let you now as soon as possible. Record company name will also be released here soon...!
