Circus of Fools
Recording "Circus of Fools" at Fantom Studios, Tampere, Finland (14.08.06 - 01.09.06 & 09.10.06 - 23.10.06)
God Damn I'm tired and I think JV is too. We made quite long last day - 20 hours. Actually we made really long days for whole week... Now the album has mixed and ready for mastering. Head is empty and feels like half dead. Mixing is actually very boring 'cos you have to listen those songs 1000 times, but if you drink some German white wine - you can listen the songs all night long and yes, we drank... No it's time to rest. Goodbye.

Days 22 - 25, 20.10.2006
Hello there! We have this net connection problem again so it's been hard to update the diary. But now we found a computer, YES! We have mixed 4 songs now. We have to fight against time 'cos next monday will be the last studio day and six songs are unmixed, but we make really long days at the studio so I think everything will be Ok in the end. Anyway, the songs sound good! We just mixed a really great song called "Ghost of the seasons" and we almost cried when we listened it. Sounded so awesome that JV and Jarno went to a booze store to get some fun juice and they left me to write something for you... Now we started to mix some 3 minutes fast punk heavy song - we'll see what will happen later with bottles of cheap German white wine. I'll try to write something before monday. Have a nice weekend!

Day 21 - 16.10.2006
The last week in the studio... The day started with drum editing and will end with bottle of wine. We recorded little bit acoustic guitars for the album intro today. Tomorrow will be just drum editing etc. Boring for us... I think we will rest at the hotel or in a local bar. Wednesday will be real mixing day, It will star with TWO bottles of wine. Cheers!

Days 16 - 20 - 14.10.2006
Hi again! And sorry about this silence... We had a different hotel this week and there was no net connection so we couldn't update the diary. We had this cheaper hotel first 3 nights and at the first night there was a fire alarm in the middle of the night. We just continued sleeping 'cos we didn't see any fire engines so... At Friday night we should had a reservation from a luxury hotel but surprise surprise, happened this mistake and we didn't have any reservation there. They gave us a room from a different good hotel and free booze :) and it was Friday 13th so I think those stories about Friday 13th are bullshit.
Now all things are on tape (thank god) and we are ready for mixing. Yesterday was a bretty interesting day 'cos 5 different singers visited to sing - including few rock stars. We have to load our batteries now 'cos we had a really hard week in the studio - long recording days and long hours in Tampere's night life. See you next week,

Bad morning with hangover, my voice was already gone 'cos we sang karaoke with JV, whole night. We didn't know any songs but no worries - we made some new vocal melodies. Now it's time to rest little bit and then start to work again! We have 5 weeks break and recordings continue on October 9th. We will record two new songs then so now we have time to do some arrangement and we have to find a title for the album soon. Any ideas...? ;) but it's time to say goodbye for a while but we'll get back on October 9th! Have a nice September all of you,

Yes, I got the vibe! The song is brilliant. I sang about 7 hours today and now is time to rest - in a local strip bar ;) There is net connection so we thought inform you! Damn, we have just only coins... There is a girl stripping who looks just like Eero. God damn! I think we'll save our coins... Peace.

Hi boys and girls,
Today JV played rest of acoustic guitars. I sang lot of high notes... I tried those lower ones but maybe after few whiskey drinks I'll get the right vibe. We'll see... Now we are sitting in a local music bar with JV tasting lot of differents and expensive excotic drinks. We sold the acoustic guitar 'cos it had no more use and burned the mandolin. Have a nice evening!

Rock On!
We got an acoustic guitar from some lady who was playing Black sabbath near by a local market... We didn't steal it. We just gave her our bass player's phone number. But any way - JV played mandolin in the studio! sounds awesome! It was out of tune but it doesn't matter. We made 13 hours day... I sang many hours again. Tomorrow is a new day. Trying to sleep with Maiden album- a sleepless nigh ahead 'cos it's soooo good! Peace,

Good evening,
In the studio again. JV played some clean guitars today and I sang 2 songs. I think one of them will be the single song. The chorus will stay in your mind forever when you hear it! Tomorrow we will record some acoustic guitars but first we have to find one and steal it. This is the plan: We'll pay money for some dude and he'll do it. So there is no chance to get busted. "Run JV run". Another rainy night without porn...

Hi There!
Second week behind. We are in schedule - all guitars, except acoustic guitars are on tape - Jani and JV spent 20 hours in the studio on Thuesday. I sang two songs but then started problems with my voice. DOn't blame me - blame booze or my god damn pipes. We had 5 hours radio interview with J-V on Wednes day and I think my voice left there. But no worries - I'll rest this weekend and I'll be steel next week. Any way, we are very satisfied with the sounds. Have a nice weekend, cheers!

Day 4 - 17.08.2006
Now the bass is tuned and recordings can start. I was so nervous and it is not so nice feeling on studio or any else life situation, but after getting firsts songs on tape then it makes playing little bit easier and ending of the day I told to J-V that if I get everything on tape I take my first drunk on my lifetime and here we are... Well just few ciders and must say that alcohol taste just so shit. huh... On friday Samu (our mixing guy) editing more drums and some basses too, so we got day off on friday and on weekend we get rest and starting again on monday, starting with guitars. So nice weekend to all boys and girls. hmm.. weekend.. ahh.. Yes and also some pictures are coming from our sessions soon... and Diary will continue...

Day 3 was just... well.. Sitting and hanging because my brand new bass tunes was shit. Just looked bass sound and editing drums. At the evening we went watching Graham Bonnet and his band and it was great. Old heavy rules! We get VIP-passes there from our promotor Taija and she is awesome. Evening went also late and few hours sleep and then tuning bass and start recording...

So second day behind and Jarno has done all drums on tape and it took 5 and half hours. Can we say Amazing Guy. He is singing the song "Tonight I celebrate my drumming skills" (same time tasting wine :) Tomorrow it is moment of truth, bass recordings I mean.

Well well? Here we are all guys in Tampere and get started with recordings, except Antony, who is obviously drinking wine at his home. He starts singing maybe next week so she got free week now. On the first day we started to check drumsounds and recorded little bit too. Jarno was amazing! Tomorrow Jarno is truly on heat. But now it's sleeping time.. Bye for now.
